Senior Associate Pham Thanh Huy has more than nine years of experience in corporate, investment, real estate, construction and mergers & acquisitions (M&A). He focuses on advising on commercial contracts, investment projects, transaction structuring and legal matters arising in the course of business operations, and regularly assists foreign-invested enterprises in establishing investment structures, obtaining licences, conducting compliance reviews and managing legal risks in Vietnam.
Before joining HM&P, Mr. Huy held legal positions at several major domestic and international corporations and enterprises, including Taiwan’s Far Eastern Group, Vietnam’s NovaGroup and South Korea’s GS E&C Group. During this period, he directly participated in advising on real estate, construction, energy and services projects, gaining practical experience in how businesses operate, implement projects and address legal issues in regulated sectors.
In addition to his corporate and investment advisory work, Mr. Huy has significant experience in occupational safety, environmental, energy and chemical management matters, including rooftop solar power projects, fire prevention and firefighting systems, and energy supply agreements with domestic and international counterparties. He has also participated in the resolution of complex real estate and commercial disputes, while advising businesses on labour law, internal employment policies and compliance requirements arising from business operations.
Mr. Huy also has experience researching and advising businesses on personal data protection, particularly in relation to the organisation of data processing systems, allocation of legal roles and responsibilities among data processing parties, internal data governance and management of risks arising during compliance implementation or cross-border data transfers. He has been recognised by OneTrust DataGuidance in its Experts Directory and has contributed to the preparation of in-depth legal analyses on personal data protection in Vietnam for the international business and professional community.
On 1 July 2026, Mr. Huy was officially appointed as Senior Associate at HM&P. In this capacity, he continues to advise clients across HM&P’s core practice areas, while taking a more active role in professional development, training of the firm’s lawyers and development of legal solutions to meet the increasingly complex demands of the market.
