Counsel Nguyen Sy Nguyet Linh has more than 15 years of experience in legal and compliance matters, particularly in complex and highly regulated sectors such as banking and finance, insurance and investment. She focuses on advising on corporate governance, legal risk management, compliance framework development, and assisting financial institutions and businesses in addressing complex legal issues arising throughout their operations and business development.
Before joining HM&P, Ms. Linh held several senior legal management positions, including Legal Manager and Chief Legal Officer at major financial institutions. In these roles, she directly advised Boards of Directors and executive management teams on compliance strategy, corporate governance, legal risk management and legal matters relating to business operations in environments requiring a high degree of accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Ms. Linh also has extensive experience working with regulatory authorities during inspections, examinations and the handling of sensitive and complex legal matters. She advises clients on transactions and business activities in the fields of banking and finance, insurance, investment, technology and data, while also assisting with reviews of internal compliance systems, corporate restructuring, legal risk management and issues arising during inspections, examinations and dispute resolution proceedings.
In addition to her background in finance and corporate governance, Ms. Linh has specialised expertise in data and privacy matters. She holds the internationally recognised Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) and Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) certifications, further strengthening her capabilities in advising on data protection, data governance and legal operations in the modern digital business environment.
In May 2026, Ms. Linh was officially appointed as Counsel at HM&P. In this capacity, she contributes to strengthening HM&P’s specialist advisory capabilities in banking and finance, compliance, corporate governance and highly complex business activities, while also contributing to the development of legal solutions that combine legal expertise, risk management and practical understanding of business operations.
